• Botafogo has opened talks to extend Fernando Marçal’s contract until December 2026. The 36-year-old full-back, also playing as a center-back, has 15 appearances and two goals in 2025, with mutual interest in continuing.

• Argentine midfielder Montoro returned to Rio after collarbone surgery and will continue recovery at Botafogo’s facilities. He is expected to resume training between late November and early December, possibly returning for the final rounds of the league.

Bragantino

• Red Bull Bragantino competes in the semifinals of the São Paulo State U15 and U17 Championships: the U15 team faces Corinthians and the U17 plays Sfera, with first legs on Nov 8 in Atibaia and return legs on Nov 15 and 25 in São Paulo and Jarinu, respectively.

• Red Bull Bragantino (14th, 36 pts) returned to training after a fourth consecutive defeat and prepares to face Corinthians (Nov 5) with Jhon Jhon back, but without Matheus Fernandes (suspended) and with Eric Ramires doubtful due to a thigh issue.

Ceará

• Guarani is interested in signing Fernando Miguel (40), Ceará’s backup goalkeeper, for next season.

• Ceará will be without center-back Marllon for the Clássico-Rei this Thursday (6th) after receiving his third yellow card in the win over Fluminense; Éder and Gabriel Lacerda are competing for a bench spot.

Corinthians

• Ángel Romero (32, Paraguayan forward) is going through a quiet phase at Corinthians, with his playing time dropping by 71.8% in October — only 11 minutes in two games. He has 49 matches, five goals, and three assists this year and hasn’t yet agreed on a contract renewal.

• Memphis Depay (31, Dutch forward) played 90 minutes for the first time since a September injury, scoring a penalty in the win over Grêmio. He had 85% passing accuracy (52/61) and now has six matches since his return, regaining rhythm ahead of the RB Bragantino clash.

• Guilherme Pires (19, midfielder) renewed with Corinthians until Dec 2027, receiving a pay raise and release clause increase after 28 games and four assists for the U20 team in 2025. He’s expected to play the 2026 Copinha and continue developing in the academy.

Cruzeiro

• Cruzeiro is targeting a direct Libertadores spot, still dreams of the Brasileirão title, and will play Corinthians in the Copa do Brasil semifinals.

• Grêmio and Cruzeiro face off at 8 p.m. in Porto Alegre for the 32nd round, with Grêmio seeking recovery and Cruzeiro solidly in the G4.

• Flamengo will face São Paulo with De la Cruz confirmed and Carrascal potentially returning after rib pain.

• The STJD will hear Bruno Henrique’s appeal on Nov 10 — the player was suspended for 12 matches for intentionally drawing a yellow card in 2023.

Fluminense

• Coach Zubeldía stated that the environment surrounding young players — influenced by family, agents, and social media — makes development harder by creating early expectations. He stressed the need for time and patience to develop talents like Riquelme, calling for long-term work at Fluminense.

Fortaleza

• Breno Lopes urged Fortaleza to remain calm and focused in the Clássico-Rei against Ceará, emphasizing emotional control and fixing mistakes from recent derbies.

• Matheus Pereira has left Fortaleza’s medical department after recovering from a thigh issue; he trained with the team but remains doubtful for the upcoming match.

Grêmio

• Grêmio faces Cruzeiro at the Arena looking to improve their poor record against top-five teams in the Brasileirão.

• Coach Mano Menezes is expected to make defensive changes, with Kannemann returning and Gustavo Martins possibly starting.

• Grêmio and Cruzeiro reached an agreement allowing Marlon to play this Wednesday, as the full-back activated his purchase clause with Grêmio.

Internacional

• Internacional faces Vitória in a crucial match to stay clear of the relegation zone and move past the ghosts of their 2016 drop.

• Young midfielder Luis Otávio (18) has drawn interest from MLS side Orlando City, though no official offer has been made.• Inter will face Vitória without Ronaldo, Borré, and Mercado; coach Ramón Díaz may start Carbonero or Ricardo Mathias in attack.

Juventude

• The league’s worst away team, Juventude faces decisive road matches against Sport and Vasco to keep survival hopes alive. With only five away points, the team seeks a turnaround under Thiago Carpini to avoid relegation.

• Juventude will face Sport in a crucial Serie A clash with Marcos Paulo, Jadson, and Taliari returning, but without injured striker Gilberto. Coach Thiago Carpini may alter tactics to secure points away from home.

Mirassol

• Chico da Costa and Cristian have recovered and reignited competition for a starting spot in Mirassol’s attack. Both were decisive earlier in the season, giving coach Rafael Guanaes a selection dilemma ahead of the Fluminense match.

• Negueba emotionally recalled Mirassol’s historic win over Fluminense in 2023, calling it the highlight of his career. The striker praised the team’s current form and preparation for the new clash at Maracanã.

Palmeiras

• Palmeiras could lose up to eight players during the FIFA break, including Vitor Roque (Brazil), Piquerez, Facundo Torres, and Emiliano Martínez (Uruguay), Gustavo Gómez and Sosa (Paraguay), Flaco López and Aníbal Moreno (Argentina), affecting matches vs Santos (Nov 15) and Vitória (Nov 19).

• Forward Riquelme Fillipi (18, Palmeiras academy) is being scouted by Wolverhampton, Nottingham Forest, and Zenit; the club values him at a minimum of €15 million (R$95m). Palmeiras projects smaller sales in 2026 and possible departures of Benedetti, Luighi, and Riquelme.

• Striker Vitor Roque (19) has been called up by Ancelotti for Brazil’s penultimate pre-World Cup squad, and will miss two Brasileirão matches (vs Santos and Atlético-MG) amid Palmeiras’ title race with Flamengo.

• Despite not being invited by the CBF, president Yuri Romão confirmed Sport will attend the Refereeing Working Group meeting on Nov 10, stressing the importance of dialogue to improve transparency and officiating standards.

Vasco

• In less than two months, Robert Renan has gone from debutant to a key starter in Vasco’s defense, standing out for his composure and ball-playing ability. His memorable debut came against Botafogo, when he scored the decisive penalty that secured a Copa do Brasil semifinal spot.

• With Paulo Henrique called up again for Brazil and Puma Rodríguez possibly returning to Uruguay’s squad, Vasco values its full-backs but worries about absences during the FIFA break — both could miss the match vs Grêmio.

• Vasco aims to improve on its first-half campaign — when it beat just one of its next seven opponents — to reach the Brasileirão G7. The team must double its current points average and earn at least 14 points in the final rounds to fight for a Libertadores spot.

Vitória

• The CBF confirmed the rescheduling of Palmeiras vs Vitória to Nov 19 (7:30 p.m.) due to the Libertadores final, despite Vitória’s objection; the RB Bragantino match remains unscheduled.

• Forward Lawan (20) returned to Vitória after a loan spell at Confiança and trained with the first team on Tuesday (4th); with no U20 fixtures left, he will now join the senior squad.
