Atlético-MG
Atlético-MG has decided to hold its 2026 preseason in Belo Horizonte, ruling out training in the United States due to the new CBF calendar.
Rubens Menin met with the Atlético-MG squad and coaching staff, reaffirming confidence in their work despite the pressure from the poor Brasileirão campaign.
Atlético-MG has the worst performance in the second half of the Brasileirão, even below bottom-placed Sport, increasing its relegation risk.
Bahia
Everton Ribeiro revealed a thyroid cancer diagnosis and underwent successful surgery on Monday (6). The midfielder is recovering after playing for about a month already aware of the condition.
Botafogo
Defender Bastos suffered a worsening of a complex knee injury and is expected to return only in 2026. After initially refusing surgery, the Angolan underwent the procedure in July and remains in physical therapy.
John Textor denied rumors about leaving Botafogo and stated he will continue leading the SAF, ensuring financial stability for the club. The American stressed: “I will die at Botafogo.”
Defender Kaio Pantaleão tore ligaments and the meniscus in his left knee, underwent surgery, and will be sidelined until mid-2026.
Bragantino
Nacho Laquintana, a 25-year-old forward for Red Bull Bragantino, with 60 games, 6 goals, and 6 assists in 2025, was called up by the Uruguayan national team for friendlies against the Dominican Republic and Uzbekistan in Malaysia.
Ceará
Ceará will resume training only on Wednesday (8) due to the FIFA break and will have four sessions at Porangabuçu until Saturday. The team returns to action on October 15 against Sport, at Ilha do Retiro, at 8 p.m.
Corinthians
After a 3–0 win over Mirassol, Corinthians increased its chances of remaining in Série A from 92.82% to 95.41% and G6 qualification from 1.31% to 1.71%, reaching 33 points and moving to 12th place.
Corinthians registered forward Léo Agostinho, 19, in its final Brasileirão list, filling all 50 slots. The U20 player, born in 2005, will focus on the 2026 Copinha and is not expected to feature for Dorival Júnior this season.
Midfielder Thomas Lisboa, 20, returned to train with the senior squad after a cruciate ligament injury and six games for the U20s. He is ineligible for the Brasileirão and focusing on the Copinha; his contract runs until January 2026.
Cruzeiro
Cruzeiro is prioritizing the renewal of Matheus Pereira, whose contract runs until mid-2026 and who will be eligible for a pre-contract at the end of this season.
Cruzeiro confirmed two fractured ribs for Matheus Henrique, who will undergo conservative treatment without surgery.
After drawing with bottom-placed Sport, Cruzeiro’s title chances in the Brasileirão dropped from 12.5% to 8.5%.
Flamengo
De la Cruz, hampered by injuries, has started only 36% of Flamengo’s matches in 2025 and has lost ground to new signings.
For the first time in 2025, Flamengo had no players called up during the FIFA break and will have a full squad for Brasileirão and Libertadores preparations.
Flamengo is considering fining Wallace Yan after his red card against Bahia, deemed a serious mistake by Filipe Luís.
Fluminense
Fluminense will be without Serna, called up by Colombia, to face Mirassol. Without the forward, Zubeldía may test options such as Keno, Soteldo, Santi Moreno, Riquelme Felipe, and Lavega to maintain the offensive scheme.
Under Zubeldía, Lima has regained space, scoring against Botafogo and assisting versus Atlético-MG. The coach praised his versatility and tactical intelligence.
Fluminense will close 2025 with 12 first-time opponents, a club record, the next being Mirassol. This year, the club has already faced new rivals like Lanús, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, and Once Caldas.
Fortaleza
After defeating Juventude, Fortaleza received two days off and will resume training on Wednesday (8) at 4 p.m. at Pici. Next match: October 15 vs Vasco at Castelão, with Moisés possibly returning after the FIFA break.
Coach Palermo foresees a tough October: Vasco (home), Cruzeiro (away), and Flamengo (home). After turning the game against Juventude, Fortaleza sits 18th with 24 points and seeks “strength and fight” to climb out of the relegation zone.
Grêmio
Grêmio is seeking a meeting with the CBF to contest refereeing errors and request more experienced officials.
The club will also ask for the annulment of cards received by Kannemann and Marlon due to refereeing mistakes against Bragantino.
Cristian Olivera is reportedly dissatisfied with being benched and with the lack of updates on his muscle edema but does not plan to leave.
Internacional
During the FIFA break, coach Ramón Díaz will focus on assessing the squad, improving fitness, integrating key players, and reviewing tactics.
Alan Patrick excelled as a false nine, scoring in the 2–0 win over Botafogo, matching Edenilson as the top scorer at the new Beira-Rio.
Internacional will need R$ 21 million to permanently sign Carbonero, who has secured a starting spot and was called up by Colombia.
Juventude
After the comeback loss to Fortaleza, Juventude remains in 19th place with 23 points, five behind Santos. Midfielder Jadson pledged to keep fighting until the final round.
Coach Thiago Carpini admitted challenges and inconsistency but stressed belief in a “game-by-game” recovery to avoid relegation.
Mirassol

Vasco

Vasco reduced the SAF loan guarantee with Crefisa from 20% to 10%, following Judicial Administration’s advice and the bank’s approval. The R$ 80 million operation still awaits court authorization.
