Atlético-MG

  • Atlético-MG will grant the squad a 13-day vacation after the match against Internacional before resuming preparation to face Bahia following the Club World Cup pause.

  • Playing as a second midfielder, Rubens is the second-best tackler in the Brasileirão and stands out defensively. The club has no plans to sell him in the upcoming window.

  • Rafael Menin confirmed a R$100 million injection into Atlético-MG’s SAF until 2026. The club seeks new investors, admitting that repaying its billion-real debt without further funding will be a lengthy process.

Bahia

  • Bahia faces RB Bragantino trying to end a 17-game winless streak away against the opponent.

Botafogo

  • Juninho, Botafogo’s U-17 standout with 10 goals in 11 games, signed his first professional contract with a €70 million release clause. He’s popular on social media with over 275,000 followers.

  • Botafogo has not paid any installment for Thiago Almada’s transfer, leading to a FIFA ruling demanding US$21 million plus penalties. The club disputes the amount and has appealed to avoid sanctions like a transfer ban.

Bragantino

  • Left-back Juninho Capixaba is out due to a minor right thigh injury and will miss the match against Bahia.

  • Young defender Pedro Severino, 19, was discharged from the hospital after 96 days following a serious accident. His future at RB Bragantino remains uncertain.

Corinthians

  • Coach Dorival Júnior is monitoring 16-year-old forward Kauê Furquim, who is training with the senior team and has a €50 million release clause.

  • During the FIFA break, Corinthians promoted several players to the senior team: Kauê Furquim (16, 2008), goalkeeper Cadu (20, 2005), defender Guilherme Gama (17, 2008), and midfielders Luiz Gustavo Bahia (19, 2006) and Dieguinho (17, 2007).

  • Corinthians prioritizes signing a winger to replace Wesley (sold at age 26), but financial difficulties are hampering new signings.

  • Yeferson Soteldo is Fluminense’s new signing and is set to join the team in the U.S. between Wednesday and Thursday. Jhon Arias and Lezcano are expected by Saturday.

Fortaleza

  • Midfielder Pedro Augusto is close to being transferred, with Juventude as the likely destination.

  • Fortaleza has already made some departures and added Matheus Pereira for the second half of 2025.

Grêmio

  • Braithwaite is doubtful, and Cuéllar and Monsalve are unlikely to feature against Corinthians on Thursday.

  • Coach Roger Machado is expected to start Ronaldo and Bruno Henrique in midfield, with Borré improvised in the attack and a decision pending between Thiago Maia or Romero for the match against Atlético-MG.

  • Analysts highlight Atlético-MG’s physical issues, absences, and off-field problems as opportunities for Inter to exploit in the Brasileirão.

Juventude

  • Currently second-last in the league, Juventude plans changes to the squad, with five signings and multiple departures expected after an 8-game winless streak.

  • Richard Ríos, called up by Colombia, felt discomfort during the FIFA break and is now doubtful for Palmeiras’ Club World Cup debut, drawing attention from the coaching staff.

  • Palmeiras dropped its pursuit of midfielder Alan Lescano after Argentinos Juniors demanded R$40 million (~€7 million) for 50% of his rights. Lescano, under contract until 2027, was also offered to Vasco and Cruzeiro. Palmeiras is unlikely to return to the market before the World Cup.

  • The club plans to negotiate right-back Igor Vinícius (27) and midfielder Matheus Alves (20, born 2004), who has drawn interest from CSKA. The future of defender Ruan (25), on loan from Sassuolo, is also under review.

  • Striker Juan Dinenno, 30, is officially registered and training with São Paulo, available for Zubeldía to face Vasco on Thursday.

  • Sport is negotiating with wingers like Elias Manoel and Wellington Rato, nearing conclusions, while facing obstacles in talks with Pedro Rocha, Luiz Fernando, and others.

Vasco

  • Vasco intensified preparations to face São Paulo and is addressing squad matters, including goalkeeper Léo Jardim’s contract. Jardim rejected renewal offers and is attracting interest from Palmeiras. Edmundo called the potential exit “natural” but noted fan dissatisfaction.

  • After three friendlies with Brazil’s U-20 team in Egypt, striker Rayan returned early to Vasco and will be available for the match against São Paulo.

  • Following Payet’s contract termination, Vasco freed up salary space and a foreign player slot for the July transfer window. New director Admar Lopes, an expert in the South American market, will lead the search for signings.
