Atlético-MG
Atlético-MG faces Fortaleza this Wednesday at 8:30 PM at Arena MRV in a rescheduled match from the 16th round of the Brasileirão.
Sampaoli will have the returns of Bernard and Ruan Tressoldi, but loses three players called up for national teams in the lineup against Fortaleza.
Bruno Muzzi has resigned as Atlético-MG’s CEO due to internal strain, and the club’s SAF is searching for a successor with a similar technical and administrative profile.
Bahia
Bahia and Everton Ribeiro are close to finalizing a contract renewal valid until 2026.
Fluminense and Santos still owe Bahia: the Rio club has not paid the transfer fee for Everaldo despite attempts to renegotiate, and Santos has pending payments related to Thaciano’s sale.
Botafogo
The relationship between Botafogo and Lyon remains tense after disagreements between John Textor and Michele Kang, making future player exchanges between the clubs difficult. Despite belonging to the same group, Botafogo treats Lyon as any other team in the market and is suing for pending payments.
Danilo “Paçoca,” the most expensive midfielder in Botafogo’s history, aims to qualify the team for the Libertadores and win titles in 2026. He also dreams of returning to the national team and believes he has a chance under coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Bragantino
Red Bull Bragantino carried out early cardiac tests after defeating São Paulo, preparing for a short 2026 preseason. The squad welcomes back Juninho Capixaba (28, LB) and Eduardo Sasha (32, FW), has six players in the medical department, and sees Nacho Laquintana (24, FW) called up by Uruguay.
Nacho Laquintana, Bragantino’s 24-year-old winger, received his third consecutive national team call-up and will play Uruguay’s friendlies against Mexico (Nov 15) and the USA (Nov 18) ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
Ceará
Ceará resumed training this Wednesday (12) after two days off, preparing to face Internacional on the 20th. With 42 points and in 12th place, Léo Condé’s team targets the Copa Sudamericana and will use the FIFA break for tactical and technical adjustments.
Corinthians
Coach Dorival Júnior (62) warned that Corinthians could face 2026 without signings due to a FIFA transfer ban following a R$ 40 million debt with Santos Laguna over Félix Torres. The club’s total liabilities may reach R$ 125 million, and it seeks a R$ 100 million loan to avoid sanctions.
Everaldo (29), now with Coritiba, won a labor case against Corinthians and will receive R$ 1.03 million in back pay for FGTS, 13th salary, and vacation from 2020–2023. The former Fluminense player cost R$ 2.5 million, played 36 matches, and scored 4 goals for Corinthians.
Cruzeiro
Goalkeeper Cássio praised Matheus Pereira, comparing him to Arrascaeta and Renato Augusto, and called for his national team selection and contract renewal with Cruzeiro.
William highlighted the unity and healthy competition among Cruzeiro’s fullbacks, adding that his future depends on Pedrinho’s decision.
Fabrício Bruno will return from Brazil’s national team on a flight provided by Leila Pereira, ensuring his presence against Juventude on November 20.
Flamengo
Flamengo chartered five planes and took 700 people to Lima for the Copa Libertadores final against Palmeiras, prioritizing fan engagement in Rio before the trip.
Flamengo defends an eight-year unbeaten streak against Sport but may lose Bruno Henrique if suspended by the STJD.
Filipe Luís aims for a perfect run to match Jorge Jesus’s 50 victories from 2019 and could surpass it if Flamengo wins the Libertadores and the Intercontinental Cup.
Fluminense
Fluminense is using the FIFA break to recover players such as Ganso and Cano and to make tactical adjustments before the final stretch of the Brasileirão and Copa do Brasil. Coach Zubeldía plans to test new formations, including Lavega as a lateral option.
Fortaleza
Marcelo Paz stated that Fortaleza is “living its best moment” in the Brasileirão, highlighting the team’s progress and confidence ahead of the Atlético-MG clash. He praised Brenno’s recovery after a mistake and credited the team’s attitude for the turnaround.
Chilean clubs Colo-Colo, Universidad de Chile, and Universidad Católica are interested in Lucero, Fortaleza’s 33-year-old striker, who could be transferred if the club is relegated to Serie B.
Fortaleza finalized the permanent signing of midfielder Pierre, one of the season’s standouts under coach Martín Palermo, ensuring his stay beyond 2025.
Grêmio
Grêmio plans to downsize its squad for 2026, with players such as Jorge, Jemerson, Viery, Enzo, and Camilo among those likely to be released.
Róger Guedes revealed he did not sign with Grêmio due to Al Rayyan’s veto but said he still dreams of playing for the club.
Grêmio extended Edenilson’s contract through 2026, keeping the 35-year-old midfielder as an experienced starter.
Internacional
Defender Vitão is expected to leave Internacional after the Brasileirão, with advanced talks for a move to Europe worth around €8 million.
Goalkeeper Sergio Rochet has recovered from a foot injury, but the club awaits medical clearance for his hand, likely delaying his return until 2026.
Ramón Díaz is using the FIFA break to fine-tune the team, keeping Vitinho and Alan Patrick as key players while seeking balance to improve performance in the league.
Juventude
Striker Gilberto suffered a grade 2 muscle injury and will miss Juventude’s upcoming Serie A matches. The 36-year-old has played 25 games and scored four goals this season, with a return expected by late November.
Mirassol
The 2026 Paulistão will feature first-phase derbies and a Champions League-inspired format with eight matches before the knockout rounds. Rising club Mirassol will face giants like Palmeiras and São Paulo, cementing its growing reputation in São Paulo football.
Reinaldo is enjoying an excellent season with 12 goals and 8 assists and stated he would already be in the national team if he played for a bigger club. He praised coach Rafael Guanaes and the team’s current fourth-place position in the Brasileirão.
Palmeiras
Facundo Torres (24, attacking midfielder), Piquerez (25, left-back), and Emiliano Martínez (24, midfielder) were called up by Marcelo Bielsa for Uruguay’s friendlies against the USA (Nov 15) and Mexico (Nov 18), missing the classic against Santos due to the FIFA break.
Palmeiras, leader of the Brasileirão, will face Santos (Nov 15) with nine absences — including Gómez, Piquerez, Sosa, Vitor Roque, Flaco López, Facundo Torres, Emiliano Martínez, Andreas Pereira, and Allan — forcing Abel Ferreira to field a youthful, patched lineup in a decisive match for the lead.
Forward Allan had his suspension upheld by the STJD and will miss the match against Santos, adding to the team’s already heavy list of suspensions and international call-ups.
Santos
Enzo Monteiro (21, Bolivian striker) ended his loan spell with Auda FK-LAT, where he scored 5 goals and 1 assist in 39 matches, and expressed his desire to return to Santos, where he’s under contract until May 2027. He was a youth standout with 19 goals in 35 games.
João Victor Balão (21, midfielder) returned to Santos after an unplayed loan at Botafogo-PB, with his contract extended until Dec 2025. The Maranhão-born player was a youth standout, scoring 2 goals in 14 Paulista U-20 matches and finishing runner-up in the 2022 Copinha.
São Paulo
Oscar (34, midfielder) was hospitalized in the ICU after cardiac irregularities during exams and may retire. Since 2024, he has played 21 games and scored 2 goals, and he’s now considering terminating his contract (valid until 2027).
Luiz Gustavo (38, midfielder) is expected to renew his contract after recovering from a pulmonary embolism and performing well; the club values his leadership as a mentor for younger players in 2026.
Director Carlos Belmonte stated São Paulo will be cautious in 2026, focusing on academy players and at most three key signings due to financial crisis (debt > R$900 million) and uncertainty around Oscar.
Sport Recife
Sport fans protested against president Yuri Romão during a council meeting, demanding his resignation. Despite the pressure, he said he will remain in office until 2026; police were called to ensure security.
During the meeting, Yuri Romão reiterated he will not step down and intends to complete his term through the end of 2026.
Romão admitted he accepted an offer to move a Flamengo match out of Pernambuco for financial reasons but apologized, saying he won’t repeat the decision even for larger offers.
Vasco
Signed for R$ 15 million, Argentine midfielder Garré has failed to secure a spot at Vasco, playing only 10 minutes in the past three months under Fernando Diniz. The club attributes his poor performance to difficulties adapting to Brazilian football.
With one month before the Copa do Brasil semifinal against Fluminense, Vasco seeks to regain confidence after three straight losses and fix defensive issues and midfield inconsistencies. Diniz is also considering Vegetti’s return to the starting lineup to boost the attack.
Vitória
Vitória’s opposition formed the “Aliança Vitória SAF” group and nominated Marcone Amaral, former player and state deputy, as its presidential candidate. He will face current president Fábio Mota in the December 13 election.
Vitória is negotiating a mutual compensation deal with Botafogo and Grêmio to settle debts involving Lucas Halter and Janderson, among others. The goal is to clear outstanding balances without direct payments, while preparing to buy Halter permanently for US$ 1.3 million (R$ 6.9 million).
