ree

Atlético-MG

  • Atlético-MG and Cruzeiro face each other this Wednesday at 9:30 PM at Arena MRV for the 28th round of the Brasileirão.

  • Sampaoli has a home winning rate of 81% with Atlético-MG and relies on this record to beat Cruzeiro at Arena MRV.

  • Atlético-MG finished preparations for the derby with nine absences, and the young Gabriel Veneno, aged 16, is once again included by Sampaoli.

Botafogo

  • Botafogo’s CEO, Thairo Arruda, guaranteed the club will not face financial problems in 2025, highlighting new revenue streams, player sales, and sponsorships. He estimated that the 2026 plan should generate around R$350 million in player sales and investments.

  • Botafogo faces Flamengo with nine key absences, including starters such as Vitinho, Kaio Pantaleão, Newton, and Montoro. Davide Ancelotti is expected to start Léo Linck, Mateo Ponte, David Ricardo, Barboza, Marçal (or Alex Telles), Allan, Marlon Freitas, Santi Rodríguez, Savarino, Cuiabano, and Arthur Cabral.

  • Botafogo met with the CBF and demanded “professional refereeing immune to intimidation” for the derby against Flamengo. The club said it will monitor referee performance through the company Good Game and requested explanations for previous officiating mistakes.

Bragantino

  • Forward Eduardo Sasha (32) returns from a left thigh strain and is expected to be included — possibly as a starter — for Red Bull Bragantino against Palmeiras, while Pitta, Davi Gomes, and Bruno Gonçalves are still in transition, and defender Eduardo remains in the medical department.

Corinthians

  • After eliminations in the Paulista and Brasileirão U-17, Corinthians dismissed coach Raphael Laruccia, who had led the team since 2024 with 62 matches (38W, 11D, 13L). Valdeir Santos and Zé Augusto will serve as interim coaches while the club searches for a new manager, with Eduardo Vergueiro (U-15) being the main internal candidate.

  • Ecuadorian defender Félix Torres (27) has not played for seven matches due to a technical decision by Dorival Júnior. He has appeared in 79 matches (37W, 17D, 25L) and won one Paulista title (2025), but only 27 appearances this season.

  • Corinthians will have Rodrigo Garro (Argentinian midfielder, 26) back from a calf injury, along with Charles and Depay, but will still be without André Ramalho, Carrillo, Romero, Félix Torres, and José Martínez. Coach Dorival Júnior is suspended for the derby against Santos in the 28th round of the Brasileirão.

Cruzeiro

  • Cruzeiro aims to return to winning ways in the Brasileirão and maintain its record as the top rival of Atlético-MG at Arena MRV, where it has already won three out of five derbies.

  • Cruzeiro will have William, Lucas Romero, and Kaio Jorge back for the derby but will miss Fabrício Bruno, Sinisterra, and Matheus Henrique due to injuries.

  • Cruzeiro renewed the contract of U-20 top scorer Rayan Lelis until 2029, after his standout performance in the youth state championship.

Flamengo

  • Botafogo and Flamengo face each other this Wednesday at 7:30 PM at Nilton Santos Stadium for the 28th round of the Brasileirão.

  • Pedro reaches 300 matches for Flamengo as an idol, with 150 goals, many titles, controversies overcome, and a search for resurgence under Filipe Luís.

  • Flamengo faces Botafogo with Pulgar returning, but without Saúl, Allan, De la Cruz, Danilo, and Wallace Yan for Wednesday’s derby.

Fluminense

  • Fluminense begins a four-match streak at Maracanã with eight players on yellow-card warnings ahead of the derby against Vasco, including key starters such as Martinelli and Acosta. Unbeaten at home under Zubeldia, the team aims to strengthen its Libertadores bid.

  • Celso Barros launched his candidacy for Fluminense’s presidency with Rafael Rolim as vice, promising professional management and transparency. Critical of Mário Bittencourt’s SAF proposal, he advocates for a football CEO and statutory reforms.

  • Fluminense reunites with Nenê — former midfielder and top scorer from 2019 to 2021 — now playing for Juventude, in a Maracanã clash. At 44, he has yet to score against his former club, which has a favorable record in recent encounters.

Grêmio

  • Grêmio has five options for two attacking positions, with coach Mano Menezes evaluating the starters after injuries and Amuzu’s strong performances.

  • Grêmio settled September’s delayed wages through a sponsor loan after financial troubles and blocked funds.

  • Amuzu is adapting to Grêmio, praising teammates, facing the challenges of Brazilian football, and dreaming of being called up by Ghana.

Internacional

  • Mirassol and Internacional meet this Wednesday at 8:00 PM at Maião for the 28th round of the Brasileirão, with the home team aiming for the G-4 and Inter seeking to remain unbeaten under Ramón Díaz.

  • Inter will have Alan Rodríguez back and includes young prospect Alisson in the squad to face Mirassol.

  • Mercado and Romero have earned Ramón Díaz’s trust and are Inter’s key assets for the clash against Mirassol.

Juventude

  • Juventude criticized the appointment of Matheus Candançan as VAR assistant for the match against Fluminense, citing previous officiating mistakes. President Fábio Pizzamiglio called the choice unnecessary but unlikely to change.

  • Juventude has the worst defense in Série A with 52 goals conceded and has been unable to maintain a consistent center-back duo due to injuries and suspensions. Since Thiago Carpini’s arrival, the team has used seven different defensive pairings.

Mirassol

  • Mirassol will have lineup changes to face Internacional: Lucas Ramon is injured and will be replaced by Daniel Borges, while Muralha starts in goal instead of Walter. Coach Rafael Guanaes may also change the attack, with Carlos Eduardo possibly replacing Alesson.

Palmeiras

  • Zenit is negotiating the signing of striker Riquelme Fillipi (19), a Palmeiras gem, with the club asking for a minimum of €15 million (~R$95M). The player wants to move to Europe, and the club plans further youth transfers in 2026, including Benedetti, Allan, and Luighi.

  • Palmeiras has three players called up for the U-17 World Cup — defender Luccas Ramon (17), full-back Derick (17), and midfielder Luis Pacheco (17) — all part of Brazil’s full youth cycle. The club has 22 youth call-ups in 2025, maintaining its national lead.

  • After the 4–1 win over Juventude, Palmeiras trained on Monday (13) with starters in recovery and reserves in small-field sessions. Khellven (foot trauma) and Ramón Sosa (thigh edema) continue treatment, while youth players Luis Pacheco (17) and Erick Belé (18) celebrated professional debuts under Abel Ferreira, who has promoted 46 academy players since 2020.

Santos

  • Hyan, a 21-year-old midfielder developed at Santos, faces uncertainty at the club: despite renewing until 2027 and being promised a sporting project, he has only played twice this year. He requested contract termination but continues training as his agents consider offers — with interest from Atlético-MG, Vitória, and Portland (USA).

  • Santos U-19 advanced to the quarterfinals of the Copa Atlântico after beating Internacional 3–1 on penalties (1–1 in regulation, goal by Coulibaly). The team, led by Marcos Basílio, mostly features U-16/17 players and awaits the winner between Coimbra and Água Santa.

  • Santos (16th, 28 pts) finished preparations for the derby against Corinthians, with Souza (19, right-back) and Gabriel Bontempo (20, midfielder) earning starting spots. Neymar, Rincón, and Alexis Duarte are out, and coach Vojvoda seeks recovery at Vila Belmiro after three straight defeats in Itaquera.

São Paulo

  • São Paulo’s right-back Ângelo (17) was called up by coach Duda Patetuci for the U-17 World Cup in Qatar (Nov 3–27). Brazil is in Group H with Honduras, Indonesia, and Zambia.

  • Defender Lysander Ariel Lucas (16) from São Paulo was called up to the Bolivia U-17 squad for the World Cup in Qatar, debuting on Nov 3 against South Africa. Bolivia is in Group A with Italy, Qatar, and South Africa.

  • Cuiabá filed a complaint with the CNRD to claim R$1 million from São Paulo over the loan of striker Gustavo Santana, who played against them on June 11, 2025, for the U-20 team. The contract also includes a purchase option of R$700,000 for 60% of rights, contingent on the debt payment.

Vasco

  • Vasco’s labor creditors, including former player Wendel, filed objections in court alleging irregularities and unequal treatment during the assembly that approved the judicial recovery plan. The complaints cite lack of quorum and last-minute changes.

  • In his first call-up to the Brazilian national team, Paulo Henrique scored a goal, received praise from Ancelotti, and highlighted the warm reception from the squad. The Vasco full-back joked that he’s trying to bring Bruno Guimarães and Richarlison to São Januário.

  • GB impressed during the international break and competes with Andrés Gómez for a starting spot in Vasco’s attack against Fortaleza. The young striker is in good form and could replace Vegetti, who is currently goalless.
