Botafogo is demanding over R$590 million from Lyon, claiming that transfers of players like Luiz Henrique and Almada were emergency financial aid.
Goalkeeper Neto accepted Botafogo’s offer and is negotiating his release from Bournemouth. His signing depends on John’s sale to West Ham for €10 million.
Bragantino
Red Bull Bragantino is facing a crisis with nearly a full squad in the medical department, including Guzmán Rodríguez, Eduardo, Juninho Capixaba, and others.
Forward Luis Gustavo was called up to Brazil’s U-17 national team for the August friendlies against Costa Rica.

Flamengo
Flamengo has never overcome an away deficit in knockout rounds and needs to break that pattern against Atlético-MG to advance in the Copa do Brasil.
Jorge Carrascal was introduced as a Flamengo player, expressing stress over the long negotiation and his desire to join the club.
Coach Filipe Luís is uncertain about at least three positions in the starting lineup for the decisive Copa do Brasil clash.

Grêmio faces three obstacles in negotiating for Róger Guedes, as Al-Rayyan is unwilling to sell him for less than €15 million.

Roger will remain as coach at least until Wednesday’s match against Fluminense, though his position is under increasing pressure.
Inter recorded its worst attendance of the season after another loss. Coach Roger admitted the team’s poor form is keeping fans away.
Strikers Borré and Valencia, both in a goal drought, see the Copa do Brasil clash as a chance for redemption.
Juventude

Thiago Carpini was appointed as Juventude’s new head coach, with his presentation set for Wednesday (6). He brings a familiar staff and a track record of success.
Juventude remains in 19th place after the loss, seven points below the safety zone.
Mirassol
Assistant Ivan Baitello will manage the team against Flamengo in place of suspended coach Rafael Guanaes, who praised Baitello’s long service at the club.
Carlos Eduardo was the victim of racist abuse online after assisting in Mirassol’s win over Vasco. The club remains unbeaten in nine games.
Mirassol has the league’s longest unbeaten streak and has scored in all nine matches.
