Atlético-MG
Recovered physically and mentally under Sampaoli’s command, Dudu regained his explosiveness and leadership at Atlético-MG, playing a decisive role in securing a spot in the Copa Sudamericana final.
Atlético-MG awaits the winner of Lanús vs. Universidad de Chile, who will decide the second spot in the Copa Sudamericana final this Thursday in Buenos Aires.
With two goals from João Marcelo, Atlético-MG defeated Flamengo 2–0 and is close to reaching the quarterfinals of the U-20 Copa do Brasil.
Bahia
Bahia lost 3–1 to Fortaleza in the first leg of the U-20 Copa do Brasil; Caio Suassuna scored the tricolor’s goal, and the return match will be held on November 6 at the Evaristo de Macedo Training Center.
Mateo Sanabria suffered a posterior cruciate ligament injury in his left knee and is out for the season; no surgery is required, and recovery will take up to three months. Rogério Ceni gains the return of Erick Pulga, who resumed training and may strengthen Bahia against RB Bragantino.
Everton Ribeiro trained partially, Caio Alexandre remains in transition, while Gilberto and Sanabria continue treatment in Bahia’s medical department.
Botafogo
Savarino is going through his worst season since leaving Venezuela, with only six goals and six assists, affected by muscle pain and losing space in Davide Ancelotti’s system. Despite renewing his contract until 2028, he has become a bench option.
Botafogo dropped out of the G-6 for the first time in the second half of the season after Fluminense’s win over Ceará, falling to 7th place due to fewer victories. Despite inconsistency, Davide Ancelotti’s team remains in the race for a Libertadores spot and will face Mirassol on Saturday.
Montoro is recovering from a right clavicle fracture in Argentina, undergoing physiotherapy and spending time with family. The club monitors his recovery remotely and expects him back before the end of the Brasileirão.
Ceará
Fluminense 1–0 Ceará, Fluminense Home, Brasileirão Serie A.
Ceará delivered a lackluster performance and lost to Fluminense; goalkeeper Bruno Ferreira avoided a heavier defeat with key saves, while the rest of the team underperformed, with only moderate highlights for Matheus Bahia.
Léo Condé criticized refereeing after Ceará’s loss to Fluminense, claiming the decisive goal resulted from a non-existent foul. The coach lamented the mistake in a “simple play,” acknowledged the opponent’s superiority, and demanded improvement after a weak second half.
Corinthians
After dislocating his left shoulder, Hugo Souza (25-year-old Corinthians goalkeeper) returned to individual training and remains doubtful for the match against Grêmio, with Felipe Longo as a possible replacement.
The São Paulo Court denied a new appeal from Corinthians and maintained the freeze of R$ 20 million in Copa do Brasil 2025 prize money, determining that the funds remain under the Centralized Execution Regime (RCE); the club could still earn up to R$ 97.6 million if it wins the title.
As the season nears its end, Corinthians evaluates contract renewals for Angileri, Maycon, Romero, and Talles Magno — the Argentine fullback should stay, Maycon is likely to leave, Romero is discussing his future, and Talles Magno won’t be purchased due to financial constraints.
Cruzeiro
With three red cards in the last five matches, Cruzeiro has accumulated 85 bookings and ranks among the most penalized teams in the Brasileirão.
Goalkeeper Ricardo Roewer, 17 years old and a fan of Cássio, signed with Cruzeiro until 2028, with a release clause of R$ 630 million, after standing out in the U-17 squad.
Forward Marquinhos underwent knee surgery after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament and is expected to be sidelined for up to nine months.
Flamengo
Racing 0–0 Flamengo – Racing Home – Copa Libertadores.

Filipe Luís celebrated Flamengo’s fourth Libertadores final since 2019, praising the team’s soul and competitiveness, and highlighting the pride of facing his greatest challenge as coach.
With grit and resilience, Flamengo survived the battle in Avellaneda and reaffirmed its role as a continental powerhouse.
Fluminense
Fluminense 1–0 Ceará, Fluminense Home, Brasileirão Serie A.
Under coach Zubeldía, Fluminense turned set pieces into a powerful offensive weapon, thanks to assistant Carlos Gruezo’s work with Renê and Lucho Acosta. The team remains unbeaten at home under the Argentine coach.
After the 1–0 win over Ceará, Canobbio highlighted Fluminense’s successful adaptation to Zubeldía’s dynamic style, emphasizing fluid positioning and high intensity. The team reached 6th place in the Brasileirão with two straight wins under his command.
Fortaleza
Fortaleza will face former coach Vojvoda, now managing Santos, in a direct relegation battle. Under Palermo, the “Laion” improved its performance to 50%, narrowing the gap to Santos, the first team outside the relegation zone.
Fortaleza defeated Bahia 3–1 in the first leg of the Copa do Brasil; the return match will take place on November 6, with Fortaleza needing only a draw to advance.
Grêmio
Grêmio is building its foundation for 2026 but still faces doubts regarding signings, injuries, and the futures of key players like Arthur and Willian.
Grêmio is uncertain about the contracts of five players and the continuity of coach Mano Menezes, with key decisions awaiting the new management for the 2026 season.
A victory over Juventude reduced Grêmio’s relegation risk to 5% and brought the team closer to a Pre-Libertadores spot.
Internacional
Fighting relegation, Internacional faces five direct rivals in the final eight rounds of the Brasileirão as it struggles to remain in Serie A.
Internacional faces internal tension, with Rafael Borré’s dissatisfaction and locker-room clashes involving D’Alessandro, while battling the threat of the drop zone.
Bernabei caused unrest in Internacional’s locker room after conceding a penalty against Bahia, as the team fights to move away from the relegation zone.
Juventude
Juventude became the second-most penalized team in the Brasileirão, with 91 yellow cards, complicating Thiago Carpini’s lineup consistency. Jadson, Gabriel Taliari, and Marcos Paulo are suspended for the next match against Palmeiras, with the team currently in second-to-last place.
Mirassol
Jemmes is living the best moment of his career, as a key starter and outfield player with the most minutes in the Brasileirão for Mirassol, currently 4th in the table.
Mirassol, in fourth place, built its squad mostly with free agents and loaned players, spending only R$ 6.5 million to buy two starting defenders. The team kept its core since Serie B and is close to securing a Libertadores 2026 spot.
Left-back and top scorer Reinaldo is suspended for accumulating yellow cards and will miss the match against Botafogo. The team monitors other players who are suspended or injured for the upcoming game.
Palmeiras
Eduardo Conceição, 15-year-old striker for Palmeiras, scored 13 goals in 37 U-17 matches and is expected to sign his first professional contract in December, with a €100 million (R$ 620 million) release clause. He’s been compared to Estêvão and is already drawing interest from European clubs.
After Palmeiras’ U-20 elimination from the state championship, youngsters Erick Belé, Riquelme Fillipi, and Larson were called up by Abel Ferreira to train with the first team in the final weeks of the season.
Preparing to overturn a 3–0 deficit against LDU in the Libertadores semifinal, Palmeiras welcomes back Aníbal Moreno and Piquerez, both 25, recovering from injury and suspension respectively, strengthening Abel Ferreira’s lineup for the decisive match at Allianz Parque.
Red Bull Bragantino
Midfielder Bruninho Gonçalves suffered an Achilles tendon injury and will undergo surgery, sidelining him from training and matches with an expected full recovery.
Red Bull Bragantino appointed Vagner Mancini, 59, as new head coach until the end of 2025. He replaces Fernando Seabra and will debut against Bahia, aiming to steer the club away from relegation and secure a continental competition spot.
Defender Guzmán Rodríguez underwent knee surgery after an ACL injury against Palmeiras and is expected to return in 2026, with recovery estimated between six and eight months.
Santos
After nine months as a starter, striker Guilherme (27) was benched for the first time since January. The top scorer for Santos in 2025 with 14 goals (4 in the Brasileirão) and a total of 27 goals plus 14 assists in 84 games, he hopes to end his goal drought and return against Fortaleza in round 31.
After a draw with Botafogo, Santos (32 points) saw its relegation risk rise from 34.8% to 35.4%, according to UFMG, with only a 9.5% chance of making the Copa Sudamericana and 0.015% for the Libertadores. The team sits just outside the relegation zone with 8W, 8D, 13L, 30 GF, and 42 GA.
Defender Luisão, 22, signed from Novorizontino for R$ 10 million, has played just nine matches (six as a starter) and hasn’t been included in the squad for two months, losing space after the arrivals of Frías and Alexis Duarte.
São Paulo
São Paulo resumed training ahead of the 31st round against Vasco; Cédric continues recovering from a toe fracture, Calleri and Oscar are in transition, Rafael Toloi is back and may be included, while Luciano and Maik are suspended.
São Paulo will sell Rodrigo Nestor to Bahia for €2 million (R$ 12.5 million), reducing debt with the City Group related to Ferraresi’s purchase. On loan until 2025, Nestor will sign with Bahia until December 2030, with 44 matches, 7 goals, and 6 assists this season.
São Paulo plans to renew the contract of Felipe Negrucci, 19-year-old midfielder and Copinha 2025 captain. He’s played four senior matches, even as a center-back, has a contract until July 2026, and has drawn interest from Italian clubs.
Sport Recife
Julián Fernández expressed his desire to return to Sport, saying he hasn’t been contacted yet but would accept “without hesitation,” calling the club a “wonderful place.”
Sport began its market search for a new coach to finish 2025 and plan for 2026; talks are still in the early stages.
Sport defeated CRB 1–0 away, with a goal from Luiz Henrique, gaining the upper hand in the U-20 Copa do Brasil round of 16. The return leg will be played on November 6 at Ilha do Retiro, with a draw enough to advance.
Vasco
Rayan returned to full training after recovering from a thigh injury and should be available against São Paulo. Vasco, riding a four-match winning streak, sits 8th in the Brasileirão and is chasing a Libertadores spot.
In great form, Vasco dreams of a Libertadores berth and needs at least 53 points to reach a potential G-9. For a top-four finish, the team would need an almost perfect record, winning seven of the remaining eight games.
Colombian media praised Andrés Gómez’s excellent start at Vasco, highlighting his speed, dribbling, and assists, urging national team coach Néstor Lorenzo to watch him. A regular starter recently, he has helped Vasco win four straight matches.
Vitória
Lucas Arcanjo tore the medial collateral ligament in his knee, will undergo surgery, and is out for the season. Thiago Couto takes over as Vitória’s starting goalkeeper.
